PseudoBabble is a Java Applet built to work on Java Runtime
versions 1.4.2 or newer. You can check what version is running
on your machine by using the Java Control Panel. On Windows,
this would be listed in the Start Menu...Control Panel as Java.
The Java Control Panel should appear as a tabbed dialog box, with
choices across the top of something like General, Update, Java,
Security, and Advanced.
Choose the Java tab and press the View.. button under Java Applet
runtime settings. If this shows a number less than 1.4.2, you
would need to update your Java runtime in order to play. If you
so desire, you can do this at
this link.
Just follow the Download Now button and the simple instructions.
If the version is current enough, another thing to try while in
the Java Control Panel is to choose the General tab at the top,
and then press the Delete Files.. under Temporary Internet Files.
Pressing this button will clear temporary files kept for performance
reasons by the Java system, ensuring that you are loading the correct
files. This would not ordinarily be necessary, but because of the many
frequent changes I have been making up to this time, it is possible
for the Java cache to have an unmatched set of files in some situations.
These temporary files are different than your browser's temporary files.
One more thing to check in the Java Control Panel, under the Advanced
tab, is to click the + sign next to < APPLET> tag support, and make
sure that the appropriate check box is checked for your browser.
It is also worth trying to clear your browser cache as well. In Internet
Explorer this is found in the Tools menu as Internet Options. Look for
the Delete Files... button under Temporary Internet Files. In Firefox,
it is found under Tools...Options...Cache...Clear Cache.
If none of these things fixes the problem, the one other desperate
measure that might possibly help me find why you are unable to load
PseudoBabble will require your help. I would need you to:
1. Go back into Java Control Panel and select the Advanced tab.
2. Click the + sign next to Java Console. It should show the Hide Console
choice selected. Click the Show Console button to choose that instead.
3. Click OK to close the Java Control Panel, and then open your browser
and try to log in to PseudoBabble.
Even if the game doesn't load, a box titled the Java Console should appear
out of nowhere, usually in the upper left of your display. It will hopefully
fill up with a bunch of gibberish that won't mean a lot to the uninitiated.
But it will have a nice convenient Copy button in the middle at the bottom.
Before closing or leaving the browser that failed to load PseudoBabble,
press the Copy button.
You should now be able to Paste this into an email by using the Ctrl-V key
combination or the Edit..Paste.. menu selection when composing your mail.
Send the mail to

I will try to do what I can to see if I can solve the problem.
